Brief
Develop a visual identity for a family-run bakery that feels warm and inviting, and reflects the heritage and community spirit of the bakery.
Client
A much-loved family-run bakery that has been serving the UK highstreet with delicious breads and pastries since 1932.
The situation
What challenge was our client facing?
Waring’s came to us ready for a thoughtful refresh. The business was about to open more branches and felt that their existing look no longer captured the warmth, heritage and character of the bakery. The identity felt too cold and impersonal and they were ready for something that better reflected the welcoming, community-focused spirit of the family business.

The Task
What outcome were they hoping to achieve?
Waring’s wanted a brand and space that would resonate with today’s families while staying true to their rich heritage. Our goal was to craft a wholesome, unpretentious identity that felt both familiar and fresh. The new look pairs clean lines and warm tones with a vibrant green hero colour, brought to life through characterful, hand-drawn illustrations that add charm and personality throughout. The result is a modern take on a classic family bakery - welcoming, timeless, and full of heart.

The action
What steps did you take to help them get there?
As part of our Start-Up service, we developed a new logo and visual identity that brought Waring’s heritage into the present day. With a fresh, 1930’s inspired colour palette and typography suite, and characterful hand-drawn illustrations, every element was designed to reflect the warmth and charm of this much-loved bakery. The result is a brand that feels both rooted and refreshed - timeless, welcoming, and full of personality.

The Result
What was the final result?
A warm, characterful brand identity that positions Waring’s as a timeless, family-friendly bakery for a new generation. With a fresh logo, inviting colour palette, and charming hand-drawn details, Waring’s is now perfectly placed to continue its legacy with renewed confidence and relevance.
